A tally chart is a group of 5 lines put together with 4 going down and 1 going diagonal.
A pictograph uses pictures instead of bars.
A dot plot is mostly the same as a bar graph except with dots instead of bars.
A median is the middle number in a group of data.
A mean is the average number of a group of data.
A range is the lowest number to the highest number like 12-79.
A box and whisker graph is used to find the median the 75% the 25% in a group of numbers with boxes and lines connecting them.
An outlier is a number way out of the other numbers. Normally used in box and whisker graphs.
A histogram is a bar column graph on it's side and shows continuous data.
A cluster is group of data.
A scatterplot is a graph that uses dots to show 2 groups of data like the wieght and the length of diferent fish.
A trend shows the performanace of data.
A conclusion is the overall result of your findings.
The mode is the number in a group of data that appears the most.
The interquartile range is the two middle quartiles in a group of data.
A stem and leaf graph compares two or more variables for a particular item.
A variable is item that is being compared.
A sample is a set of data.
Multivrariate data is data obtained from more than one variable.
Surveying is collecting data through a questionnaire.
A pattern in data is a repeated trend.
Relationships show connections between different sets of data.
Frequency tables are those that show a variable being measured on the left of other variables.
Time series data is data measured over a period of time.
Implications compare data in order to make a conclusion.
Generalisations are conclusions from one set of data that are not necessarily correct.
